STRAND produced full certification checkstress calculations for the Airbus A340-500/600 and A380-800. STRAND has also done various other work on all other members of the Airbus fleet. The A340-500/600 work was for the front and centre wing spars, and was done for three separate sub-variants of the aircraft. Analysis was performed according to Airbus approved methods using the DAMTOL suite of programs. Both fatigue and damage tolerance analysis was performed to calculate aircraft life and inspection intervals. The Mid & Outer Rear Spar and front spar were analysed on the A380-800 and written up according to a new Airbus standardised report format.
