About Us The STRAND Group of companies consists of Stress Analysis & Design Engineering Ltd (STRAND UK) and Strand Aerospace Malaysia Sdn Bhd (STRAND Malaysia). The group specialises in the stress analysis and design of vehicle structures. Its main business focus is the aircraft industry. Our senior engineers have had experience working with UK, USA, Russian and Malaysian aircraft industries. Our engineers are qualified to work to the most stringent and advanced requirements in aerospace. From amongst our staff are Airbus approved technical signatories (static, composites and fatigue and damage tolerance). Our current projects include Airbus A320, A330, A350, A380, and A400M. Our customers include Airbus, Messier-Dowty, BAe Systems, GKN, Assystems, Atkins, CTRM, Sitec and GED.
Services STRAND services cover a wide range of activities amongst which include initial design, continuous product development (CPD), checkstress, manufacturing support, in-service support, aircraft structural integrity, aircraft teardown, training and research. We work on both primary and secondary aircraft structures. Our current portfolio includes work on wing box structures (ribs, spars and skins), pylon attachments, ailerons, flaps, landing gear etc. Apart from Aircraft we have also served the Nuclear, Civil, Rail and Space industries. |  |

As part of our continual development we have achieved separate worldwide AS EN SJAC 9100 certification, Cert No. 2009/32562 and ISO 9001:2000, Cert No. 2009/32561. STRAND (UK and Malaysia) also works to Airbus specific AS EN SJAC 9100 Quality procedures. This is recognised by us achieving Airbus Approval (Metallic & Composites) Strand UK, Cert No. 300135 and Strand Malaysia Cert No. 228444. We also have quality approval from GKN Aerospace for structural analysis. GKN approval, Cert No. GKNAES/QAS041.
