Landing Gear/Undercarraige

Strand has had experience with the nose and main landing gear structures of military and commercial aircraft, including the Nimrod MRA4, Airbus A320, A340, A350, A400M, and Fokker F100. The scope of analyses undertaken includes static, fatigue, stress corrosion, and concessions. The loads were typically extracted from beam models and translated into stresses concerning the failure modes of interest using analytical principles. Strand typically maintains a few experienced engineers on-site and has worked with a wide range of input data from physical manufacturing drawings to CATIA V5 models.
